How much savings can I have on PIP?
Any savings you have between £6,000 and £16,000 will reduce the amount of Universal Credit you will get.
If you’re moving as part of managed migration, any savings you have over £16,000 will be disregarded for 12 months from the point you move to Universal Credit.

Why is pip paid in arrears?
Once people qualify, they receive monthly payments, paid in arrears. Receiving benefits in arrears means payments cover the previous four weeks rather than the month following. People may qualify for weekly payments if they fall into the terminally ill category.
